THANK YOU!!!! ^_^ So sweet of you!!! I'm keeping a list of what I get! 1) Cheese pizza/dr.pepper/chocolatecakethings from Papajohns! Gotten for me by Tiphphy! Birthday pizza!! (Long joke about this. Whenever one of us is starving but cannot afford food, we call a pizza place in the area of that person's house (since we live in different states) and tell them "It's their birthday, so I'm paying" always works! But this is the first time we've ever done it ON one of our birthdays XD) 2) Longon Fog Terry trench coat (woo-hoo for sales!) from Mom & Roger! Also paying for me to customize it! ^_^

LOL! I see it as. Christmas is Christmas and Birthday is Birthday. You can't combined them. I have a friend who's birthday is December 25th. Her parents buy her Birthday gifts and give them to her on the 24th and then she gets Christmas gifts on the 25th. Your birthday is Dec. 10th! How is that even close to Christmas? Unless you are getting a big gift (like my car last year was my baby shower gift and my Christmas gift. Even though Lainey was born in Oct. and Christmas is well... Dec. It was a $7,000 car) and even then my dad still got me a small gift on Christmas. If you are going to do that to someone to save money. Expect them to do it back. Sorry people, I know money's tight, but if you are expecting two, then give two. No one said it had to be two expensive things. Like Ravyn said I bought her pizza for her Birthday, PLUS I have a Christmas gift for her. Let's see facts: 1) No one expects you to buy gifts. It isn't written that you HAVE to give a gift for everyone you know. 2) No one says you have to buy expensive gifts. It IS the thought that counts. 3) If you buy one gift for two celebrations... expect them to do it back to you. 4) It may seem like a good idea but I'm sorry to say, you might end up hurting their feelings. Are they important enough to get them gifts? Then why aren't they important enough to get them one for get holiday? Sorry if this offends someone. Not meaning too. And I'm not meaning to sound greedy. Like I said. No one expects gifts. We know how money is these days.

What annoys me the most, is it's not the money or presents, people won't send me 2 CARDS... Like, I actually have a card that says "This is your Birthday/Christmas card. It counts for both". . . Not even kidding. Money is tight, and some people, like you and Ally, will work for MONTHS on a gift that's very special! For my 19th you did all that work making that scrap-book and getting all the add-ins and Ally did 2 pictures and a pillowcase... that was amazing! And oh so special, so of course in instances like that it counts as both because there was so much, but, like you said, birth days should be acknowledged no matter what days they occur. And yes, no intent to offend anyone! A lot of people only buy Christmas or only buy birthday gifts, and that is, of course, fine! What annoys me is when people combine them as a "I get credit for 2" thing... My sister had my mother buy me $1.99 lip gloss and said "there. Christmas and birthday taken care of." Like it was such a burden to have someone ELSE buy a gift. ... that she keeps taking away because "You don't deserve it!" It's cool, though. It's shaped like a pink sword. I was gonna add it to the list but it's no longer "mine" so... *shrug* XD edit: removed the complaining about my dear daddy

Happy Birthday Rayvn, sorry I couldn't come on yesterday and say it, it was a hectic day and by the time I got home 10.30pm I went straight to bed and fell asleep. I woke up this morning still in yesterdays clothes. Anyway, I hope you had a great day.

A friend of mine who works for the social services over here in England once told me. They do these odd acts of kindness because it makes it easier for them to live with it. They can tell themselves 'I wasn't all bad, I did blah, blah, blah...' I don't know how much of that statement is true but the one case of child abuse I've dealt with the father said 'How can I abuse my child like that and not love him when I buy them all these expensive stuff for their birthdays, take them on holiday to Spain etc.'
I also knew the father as his child went to my nursery and everyone there including me thought he was a really nice guy, and whenever the child came in hurt or had weeks off at a time the child would confirm what the father had said. But because I was the keyworker of the child and the one who originally raised the problem with my manager (who called social services) I was called up as a witness to the court case against the father and I couldn't believe what he had done.
I had spoken to him almost daily for six months and I would have never guessed that he was an abuser. That's why I now call them if there is only a thought in my mind 'that looks a little bad if he only ran into the table. Etc.'
Since the incident I have called the social services three times and luckily all three times were nothing. But it showed me that no matter how well I think I know someone, do I actually know them?
People may do these small acts of kindness but it doesn't hide who they truly are.
