I'm fifteen and a guy (trust me I don't feel like proving it) and it is a little awkward posting this but isn't there that ring thing NuvaRing or something along those lines that is supposed to be safe or something like that. I don 't know for sure and do not plan on testing it out myself. but i heard in a stupid teen talk seminar I was forced to attend that it is almost as good as a condom without side affects? but I'm pretty sure that's BS because it all depends on you know... you know. *awkward shudder*
I don't really know that many birth control methods that was just in that blasted seminar. of course abstinence was the preferred method.
and a little late in saying but, this is kind of awkward, never mind. *shudders*
Okay I'm a sci-fi nerd, a trivia geek, and a school curriculum buff with aspergers. I am by no means normal. I believe I am not human due to my incredible senses that have left doctors stunned. Though they assume it is the medicine that saved me that April 1993 when I was supposed to be born in June. But I am never going to get ,whatever you want to phrase it as, (laid, lucky, etc.) until I am married. If I get married. Talking about this is incredibly awkward. but right out there I do feel sorry but there is nothing else I can say. Sorry I can't be more help but you have my support I guess I can say.
sorry my post went off topic still working on being a more mature forum.

Well I do believe the Nuvaring thing is a form of HBC so it does have synthetic hormones in it. My sister was on it for a while and so was my sister in law. I do believe it has much lower dosage, but I don't know how to use it since it requires...insertion...and I just don't know about that, lol. I'm glad you asked. I don't want people to feel shy about this sort of thing because when people don't feel they can freely ask questions than they may stick to whatever misinformation they have. (or what ever the case may be.)

What about mirena? (Might as well keep asking questions no matter how awkward Right?)

Well, Mirena is not HBC, it is a weird, pogo stick looking device that is inserted into a woman's uterus with the "handlebars" inside her fallopian tubes I do believe. This causes the environment to be too hostile for a baby or egg to be in and so it does not become fertilized somehow. It is considered an IUD, which I forgot what those stand for (inserted uterine device? lol, probably not) and it requires someone to have had a baby before. Since a doctor won't consider me for the procedure since I'm not a mom I haven't gotten too much information about it.
It can cause severe abdominal pain and infections. There's also something that you can have inserted into your arm that releases hormones and such. My mother in law had it but since she's hit menopause she doesn't need it anymore.

I wonder if maybe I should avoid this thread? Lots of info... don't know if I;ll need it. Images in my immature mind. (not the best combination)

Well, if you feel it is best we understand. We're certainly not trying to force this info or anything like that on people.

I don't know. I'll probably keep coming back despite anything I say.
So...um birth control... *sigh* perhaps the *cough*condom*cough* or good old fashioned abstinence. (someone probably already suggested this)

Those seem to be the two best options. Most other methods, like pulling out or the weird sponge thing tend to be unreliable and icky, lol.

sponge? wait do I want to know?
Intercourse in a pool might work but it is impractical and mostly ineffective. (Being a swimmer if it has to do with water in any way, I'll have heard of it) Is getting the (insert word here) tubes tied temporary?

Yes, and so is a vasectomy. However getting the tubes tied is a much more risky procedure and is harder to undo than a vasectomy.
The sponge is supposed to absorb the semen, but that doesn't even sound like it would be all that effective, lol.
