There was a flash of red eyes as the appearance of the dog became more distinct as it padded silently forward, somehow not creating a single sound as it moved over the grass and leaves.
Expertly, it slipped between Bambie and the door frame, into the darkness off the house.

Standing on a building on the other side of the street was a man dressed in black. He blended in well with his surrounding to the point where you wouldn't be able to see him if you stood a meter in front of him. Of course the mist helped hide him but even without the mist it would've been a challenge spotting this mysterious man.
He watched as the dog broke down the door without a sound and waited for the woman to follow the dog in side before moving again. He needed to save those people before it was too late.

Bambie's tail flicked and a smiled formed on her face as she let the door go, allowing it to fall into the shallow snow beside her, again without a sound.
She wasn't needed for this, of course. She had been working on this soul for a long while... Even if it fled, she could follow. She could follow it for ages if that's what it took, but no one in this town fled. They just waited and new ones arrived... a death trap they didn't even see.
... She wasn't needed, and there was another house she'd had her eye on. Might as well begin tonight. "Don't destroy the soul!" She reminded, "Bring it to me."
And with that, Bambie vanished into the fog.

One person saw it all cloaked in mist. She knew that there should be at least one person to tell the tale and dissappeared without a good-bye.
As the wind licked the grass and the leaves with the clouds looming over the land as if it would suck up the whole world in misery, few sounds were heard. Faded into the night as if the world reeked of misery, darkness prowled.

Kyna pulled the covers tighter around her. Her new room looked scary at night it only seemed to get worse as the fog outside got thicker. At least she thought it was fog. Ever since her parents had died she was always so sure everything was mystical. Her aunt was being as supportive as possible, but even she was starting to get tired of Kyna's fearfulness. Kyna closed her eyes and just hoped that sleep would take over before she got even more afraid. She didn't want to wake her aunt with her screaming again.

The black dog padded down the entry hall in the house he had just entered. The mist seemed to follow after him closely, and then it started to spin around him, as if blown by a wind that couldn't be felt. Then the dog's shape began to distort and it's black colour mixed with the white mist. It seemed to pass into one of the walls suddenly and the mist stopped moving. Slowly the mist faded and retreated out of the house. There was a groan that seemed to come from the house itself, as if something was straining its walls and foundations. Anyone sensitive to it would notice the aura of the house to be a lot darker now.

Munchin, your post was very interesting but... I'm afraid there are some errors. 1) It's in first person while everything else is third. Not much of an error, but a note. 2) The powers you are listing aren't in your character bio for approval. 3) A bit of god moding. No where in the posts so far has it been stated that anyone has died and so it is very important not to say a character is doing something they haven't. For instance, Bambie, not the dog, opened the door. It might be worth while to carefully read the posts ahead of yours. I know that can be tough.

As the wind whipped across her hair, she didn't care. Her cloak brustled with the wind and she pulled her cloak's hood to cover her ears. "Don't loose control of yourself." She whispered over and over again.
The dark night engulfed her and she ran. She didn't leave a trail behind but she left something of hers. Rain started pouring and whatever she left was never seen again.

Bambie walked to her next target. This one already had ghosts that were often more apparent than others, so her work was already started by them. Still, no rest for the wicked. There were two humans here. A woman and a teenage girl. Without a male influence, this could be easier than the others... It probably would not even take a full month to get these souls. There was already fear and mourning swarming through this house. A little anger needed to invade, though, and that's where Bambie came in.
She tore off the front door and again there wasn't a sound, then she walked in to investigate.

Ina walked farther and farther away but eventually she felt a tug in her mind that told her to go back to the place. No! I don't want to go back to that place! she kept on thinking but eventually she relented and went back.
She needed more information. The darkness needed to prowl a little longer. It was almsot time for the moon to shine brighter.

Kyna's eyes opened and she turned her head into the pillow to quiet a scream. Her nightmares just wouldn't go away. After what felt like hours, but was probably only moments she sat up and looked around her darkened room. Dark? She looked over at the light she kept on, only to find it off. Quickly she got to her feet and ran over. She turned the switch, over and over again, but nothing happened. The bulb most have burnt out. Her aunt kept light bulbs in the closet in the hall, if she could get one without waking her up. Kyna walked to her door and opened it. She walked to the closet door and opened it. The creaking of the door made her pause and she looked toward her aunt's room, waiting to see if she had woke up.

Ina went back to the village. People were still there and some were awake. She veered off to the left a bit and ran a few paces back. "No, I don't want to get involved." She knew that she could prevent something from happening but she stayed back knowing that it wasn't time for her to intervene.
Far below, it was much worse. People have been unsettled and some were screaming. What was happening?

Bambie walked to the basement and took care of the circuit breaker. Humans depended on light and thrived on their control over it. When you deny them that control, they start to panic.
When they cannot find a reason for the problem... they start to blame each other.
Bambie smiled as she made her way back up to the first floor.

Ina was a human so she couldn't do much really. She sat on the grass near a tree and saw everything she could see but couldn't do anything. She could admit one thing though, Bambie was smart - very smart.

A piercing scream came from the house that the black dog had gone into, then it was silent. Upstairs, one of the windows started to fog and frost up, as an ethereal mist passed through it as it if were paper. There was a crunching sound as the glass became so cold so suddenly that a large crack shot straight through the middle of it. The mist was unconcerned as it floated off down the street, fading from sigh completely, leaving only death in the house behind it.
