Isn't corruption everywhere? If judges were dishonest, where would we be? Judges are the ones that actually state the law and are the punishers and the protectors of the law and the people. If a judge is corrupt, what will happen? They are not following the law that they must protect. What about it? Why is there corruption? Why don't we do anything to stop it? Furthermore, corruption spreads. A judge must actually be strict about the law - even at home. But this whole family is corrupt. Is there anything we can do? Why must we keep going on this path that only leads to destruction? If there is light, spread the light. Light can spread just as darkness can. If you are part of the many that spread the light, spread it. Shine brightly and bring people out of darkness.
This judge and his family was hiring an Indian as a nanny. They stopped paying her to work as a nanny and threatened her freedom. Freedom is important, a judge can change that within a matter of minutes. To threaten a person with jail and deportation for what reason? This is a cruel, sad world. The jail and deportation will not only shame her, but her family. For some people, the only thing they have left is their honor and dignity but to have it stripped away.
When she was able to escape, she could tell her story. This family lied. They lied saying that they were going to get her a visa. "Malika Garrett could face 60 years in prison. Russell Garrett could face 50 years in prison, while his father could face 10 years in prison, Nahmias' office said." A whole family shamed. You shame one family, someone else shames you.
Laws are very vague. You can easily change them saying you thought of them that way. You erase those loopholes, people start complaining so we have no choice but to keep them vague. What will happen is something none of us knows. As a judge, they should know the laws but they can easily twist them around. People do what they can to survive, but what does their conscience say?
