news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7906616.stmThis article is a wonderful, but sad view on child prostitution. Girls and boys often tricked into it, convinced it is this great thing, and later convinced that their punishment will be less and their pay-out larger if they themselves recruit/capture others to become slaves... Make your reply a review of the article and I'll reward 1k gold for it. Don't forget to listen to the sound clip!

This was a very short article about a recent FBI Operation, spanning 29 cities across the US, called Operation Cross Country III. The FBI said that 571 people were arrested under suspicion of trafficking young girls for solicitation (getting them to join their ring) and prostitution. They are still looking for another girl, now aged 16, who persuades young girls to become part of the sex trade.
Presented along with the story is the story of an anonymous girl. In her interview she tells us her story.
She ran away from a juvenile home when she was twelve, from where she was abandoned by her mother. "We lived in poverty," explains the girl.
Authorities found the girl and placed her in a group home. She later ran away from there as well.
"When girls are out there, they're usually on their own," she explains, as she tells the next part of the story. She met someone's uncle through her friend. After being sexually abused by him in exchange for daily needs, and when she runs away from the situation, she eventually meets her future pimp.
She went to jail after she was found by the police. There, her recovery began. She later went to graduate school and now works as a youth advocate. She also trains police how to communicate with and help young girls.

As a bit of an op-ed, this type of story is absolutely heart breaking. Someone she thought of as a friend put her in put her in a bad situation. Shouldn't have happened....
