I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but... Upon going through my emails this afternoon, I found something that caught my eye: "Light a Life! Charity Dinner Event, end human trafficking!" If you live in California, in East Side San Jose, this event is being held at Independence High School this Saturday (sorry I'm so late in posting it D:) Here's some information posted by a teacher at the school, if you live in the area and are interested: "Saturday, May 9, 6:30-8:30pm, Independence High School, C-Villa Commons This charity dinner event is hosted by Project1Life to raise awareness about human trafficking and to raise funds to aid victims of human trafficking." "Tickets: $15/adult, $10/under 10, free for children 5 or under. If you feel compelled to support this event and the work of Project1Life (saving 1 life at a time) but cannot attend this event, they would be very gracious of any kind of monetary donations." I really, really wanted to go to this, but as it turns out, my aunt is flying in from Florida the same day and we're treating her to dinner. =( So I won't be able to attend. I thought it would be something interesting to share with you guys, though, since I haven't posted in a long time. edit: I also found a link to the website of the people hosting the event, if you're interested: www.project1life.com
